Fair time with Dozers Games, and don't forget the funnel cakes.

Well the post proms are all done and now here comes July. One of our busiest times of the year. From now until the end of August we will be traveling to a number of county fairs, from the Pierce County Fair in Pierce County Nebraska to Sundance Wyoming all the way to Eustis Nebraska and many points in between.

With all of this time traveling I get to see many sights through out the great states of Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. I also get to see a lot of people, and make new friends and also see many old friends. Plus I get to eat Funnel cakes, (see below for recipe) and it also give me time to reflect.

Fair time is a very busy time of year for a large number of people. From the fair boards to the kids making crafts to canning project to quilts. so much work goes into planning, hosting and running a fair its enough to make some one pull out their hair.

Over that past number of years Dozers Games has gained a reputation for not only fair dealings but as a Fair event and Festival event entertainment specialist. I like to think that we can help in some small way to ease the issues that arrive during Fair Time. Being self contained, self powered and self staffed, we are an excellent addition to any sized event and we take the stress from you. All we need to know is when and where to be and we do our best to make it happen.

During all of our events we have noticed a number of things that not only we try to improve on every day, but things that might also help Fair boards or festival organizers.

The biggest being advertising. You need to put your self out there and get in front of as many people as possible. I know this is one of my own faults as I am a bit of a private person.

Social media is a good place to start, but don't let up. As you can tell my blog is some what sporadic as is my Youtube and Face book. But advertising is KEY! But the big thing is staying with it. It takes a lot of work to continue to advertise and put your self out there. To keep growing for any event or small business it takes a lot of work.

I want to Thank you for your time and to you that follow me and visit our Youtube page, and Face book page. For anyone that is reading this blog and not following us on Facebook, YouTube Twitter please feel free to contact us or follow us to see what excitement we can bring to your events.

Thank you

1 egg

2/3 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons white sugar 1 1/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 quart vegetable oil for frying

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Beat egg. Mix in milk. Sift flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder; beat into egg mixture until smooth.

Pour oil into a heavy pan until it is 1 inch deep. Heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Pour batter through funnel into oil with a circular motion to form a spiral. Fry until lightly brown; turn over to brown the other side. Cook to golden brown, and remove to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar while still warm.
